Tallow Beach
Tucked beneath the headland south of the Byron Bay Lighthouse, Tallow Beach is a popular surfing spot for local shortboarders. A protected and busy beach, it is accessed a short walk along the road from Clarkes Beach. Be aware that this beach is unpatrolled and often has strong rips dragging out to sea. The parking facilities are both limited and charged here, so make sure that you have spare change and consider that this is a popular spot for locals.
